The Missing Peace vs The Missing piece ( a preamble

Today, the 18th of Cheshvan of the year 5787, at this momentous moment in the continuing history of Israel , for reliable news about Israel you get a truer picture by scouring the Israeli Media outlets including sites such as CAMERA and MEMRI and especially The Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs

There’s a theological and eschatological consensus that if there’s peace in Jerusalem, the capital city of the Holy Land then there is and will be peace in the whole world…

This map ought to explain quite a lot

Back in 2005 Dennis Ross put out The Missing Peace

Fast forward to an overall review of the current precarious situation by someone like David Aaron Miller who we haven’t heard pitching in for quite some time now and even closer to the main point, he might as well title his report “The Missing Piece” in that sea of green that you see in the map up there, because,  article 11 in the Hamas Charter deems that little sliver of red in that sea of green is indeed the missing piece of dar al harb and the default position of Islam’s pan-Arabism, take it or leave it, love it or like it or love it not.

Trump, with his sights set on bagging the Nobel Peace Prize before he leaves office might after all bring incalculable glory to the United States and make the United States greater than ever by establishing peace and tranquillity in all what by then would be former “occupied territories”, we are to suppose, if the so called Jordan Option were to prevail, peaceably of course.

The Jordan option as variously presented at Israpundit.

US politicians, Israel-lover Trump among many others, love to pontificate on the notion of  “one nation under God”, no doubt a sound and useful geographic, political even theological notion that can be readily applied to the United States, along with the idea of Making America Great Again, but when it comes to Biblical Israel, the origin / originator of that particular God notion, and the latest post-election developments in that country, how does the notion of one nation under God apply?

For a surety, there is supposedly only one God, but when it comes to Israel and the overwhelmingly Muslim Pals (Palestinians), are we to assume that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is the same as Israel's God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

Ideally, “how good and pleasant it would be, before God and man”, if we were to say, in the name of Ahavat YIsrael , ONE LOVE,  “let’s get together and feel alright”!  But just as the 7th of October Massacres and the aftermath of those heinous crimes testify, there’s no love lost between Israel and the Pals

“Listen, O coastlands, to me,

And give heed, O nations afar:

GOD appointed me before I was born,

Naming me while I was in my mother’s womb.

My mouth was made to be like a sharpened blade,

While I was hidden in the shadow of a divine hand,

So that I was like a polished arrow—

Concealed in God’s quiver.

And [God] said to me, “You are My servant,

Israel in whom I glory.”

Since the “righteous king who wrote psalms beside moonlit streams”,  it is Jews, not Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, the Heathen etc etc who  intone this heartfelt declaration enshrined in Psalm 137

If I forget you, O Jerusalem,

let my right hand wither;

let my tongue stick to my palate

if I cease to think of you,

if I do not keep Jerusalem in memory

even at my happiest hour.
