63 Days to the mother of all US elections

Monday, August 31

It's 63 days to the US presidential elections and according to the opinion polls, Joe Biden is leading President Trump by double digits, so it looks easy for anyone who currently wants to put her money where her mouth is but according to Polonius,

“Neither a borrower nor a lender be,

For loan oft loses both itself and friend,

And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry”

and that’s why anyone who wants to put  her/his money where  her/ his mouth is, doesn’t want to lose either money or soul, wants to hedge his/ her  bets and probably wants to wait until the very last forecast before placing any bets, because at this very moment at the various betting joints Trump and Biden are  neck to neck and as the songster-bard-prophet, famously sang,

“For the loser now will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin’”

I made a tremendous mistake and I'm sorry that I quoted Polonius on borrowing and lending when in fact what I had in mind was Shapekepeare on GAMBLING, which is what some people are doing when they bet that Biden is going to win.

If Joe Biden the Presidential hopeful doesn't, then hopefully they are not going to blame President Trump for their misfortune. If Sleepy Joe doesn't win then they should only have themselves and him and above all his running mate Kamala Harris to blame.

Right now, few of the media pundits are brave enough to predict who is going to win the battle; even the pastors and the church prophets and those speaking in tongues don't want to be proved wrong, so they are  either not saying anything or wisely making it conditional, saying "If God wills"

63 days is a long time in US politics; there's bound to be more police shootings, more peaceful protests, more riots, more burning, and more looting.

In the meantime, the White House is working overtime -; reminds me of  Bill Clinton saying,

"Now, I have to go back to work on my State of the Union speech. And I worked on it until pretty late last night. But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you "

It's needless to say that the US media is going to have a field day doing the post-mortem on this mother of all elections...
